On Drepanosaurus unguicaudatus, an Upper Triassic lepidosaurian from the Italian Alps

Abstract

The functional interpretation of Drepanosaurus unguicaudatus, an Upper Triassic lepidosaurian from the Italian Alps, is given here. The peculiar anatomical structure of the post-cranial skeleton would point to a burrowing animal.
