It is more than twenty years since my father, Mr. S. K. Turner discovered evidence of the presence of man in the Luton valley. Stimulated by his early successes he was led to continue his search, and the result of his labours, coupled, in more recent years with my own, has been that the collections of museums both at home and abroad have been enriched.
