EuMA and Cambridge Journals join forces to reach a global audience.
The relentless growth of wireless communications since the 1990s is proof that microwave engineering is the essential technology underpinning cellular telephony, wireless LAN communications, and newer topics such as ultra-wideband.
The pace of change is rapid. New wireless communication technologies emerge, improvements are made to existing technologies and everything needs to be made smaller, faster and more cost-reffective. RF and microwave engineers need information to help them design, build and maintain the circuits, components and systems which constitute modern wireless communications.
In response to this growth in wireless technology Cambridge University Press, in association with the European Microwave Association (EuMA), is delighted to announce that from 2009 it will be publishing the International Journal of Microwave and Wireless Technologies.
The Journal will enhance communication between microwave and RF engineers and researchers throughout the world, dramatically expanding the reach of the publication previously available in Europe as Proceedings of the European Microwave Association.
The journal will be available in print and via Cambridge Journals Online, issued six times a year from 2009 onwards.

EndsAbout the Society
The European Microwave Association (EuMA®) is an international non-profit association that focuses on global and interdisciplinary development of education, training and research activities for microwave scientists and engineers worldwide.
This work includes the promotion of European microwaves, networking and uniting microwave scientists and engineers across the globe, providing a single voice for microwave scientists and engineers in Europe, and promoting public awareness and appreciation of microwaves.
As part of their mission they organise ‘European Microwave Week’, an international conference dedicated to Microwave and Radio Frequency electronics, and the largest on the subject held in Europe.
