The International Conference on Impacts of Climatic Variations and Sustainable Development in Semi-arid Regions (ICID) brought together 800 participants including scientists, technicians, representatives of international and national public and private sector organizations, decision makers, and politicians from 45 different countries in the world. The event became an important opportunity for the exchange of experiences and information among many countries and regions.
