Tuesday 4th Retford. Danes Hill Hostel. 8pm. [Recital] 1.10 Kings Cross arr. 4.30. Lunch Casa Prada Eve Kisch.

Wednesday 5th Ring Roy Henderson 7.30ish.

Thursday 6th Warrington. Evening. 7.30. [Recital]. Norton Arms Hotel.

Friday 7th Electricity up to Nov[ember] ’43 L1.15.4.

Saturday 8th 1.25 from Charing X, Sundridge Park or Bromley North. Rehearsal 2pm.

Sunday 9th B romley Scotch Presby[terian]. Church. Bach Christmas Oratorio. Afternoon.

Monday 10th Maurice Codner portrait 10.30.

Wednesday 12th Maurice Codner 10.15.

Thursday 13th Photographs 2.30. Helen Pyke 3.45. MM Club 6.15. Went to Boulestin with Gerry Field Reid. Marvellous meal. Home with me after.

Friday 14th 2.30 Lesson. The Little Humpbacked Horse [ballet] and Chop Suey with Maurice. Leading a gay life. This must stop!

Sunday 16th Portrait 11am. Getting on.

Monday 17th B allet 6.45. New Theatre. Façade, Nutcracker and Job. Lovely.

Thursday 20th Neath (Glamorgan). Messiah. Evening. Norman Lumsden. Shocking pub and orchestra. 12gns.

Friday 21st 3.30 lesson. Win away for weekend. Two noisy raids.

Saturday 22nd Still here! Quiet weekend. Drew and painted Win’s frieze.

Sunday 23rd Win back. Wrote 9 letters. Short walk on heath.

Monday 24th Maurice Codner 10.30. Val Drewry [BBC] 35 Marylebone High Street.
