Book II - Demand and production theory
Summary
In the first five chapters we provided a broad overview of the forces of supply and demand. In Book II, we develop with greater care and depth the theoretical underpinnings of demand (chapter 6) and supply (chapters 7 and 8). We will use these theories in Book III to explore firms' production and organizational strategies under different competitive and monopolistic market conditions.
