Summary
Tomatoes, plump and fresh from the vine, are wonderful. I love them! Linda won't touch them. And when our neighbor, Mr. Pickett, proudly presents her with a dozen of his best, she admires them, thanks him graciously, and promptly hands them to me. Mr. Pickett also collects glass bottles; he'll talk enthusiastically about them to anyone who will listen, but he rarely has an audience. I confess, I could never see much point in the hobby.
Kevin is absolutely smitten with Meredith, even though none of us can understand what he sees in her.
Seinfeld's Kramer is really funny, and Linda agrees, although she never laughs quite as hard as I do when we watch him. I once played a trick on my mother, and my friends and I laughed very hard. When my father heard about it, he said it was just not funny and made me apologize to her.
Shannon Miller got a score of 9.89 on her balance beam routine in the recent Olympic games. Alicia and I were watching basketball. I thought the replay showed that it wasn't a charging foul, but Alicia said it clearly was. We agreed that it wouldn't have made a difference to the outcome, since UNC was far ahead.
I told Linda that I just heard thunder, but she said no, it was only an airplane going over.
