Summary
This book is the result of a great collaboration with colleagues from various EU Member States. The idea for this book crystallised during a seminar in Leiden in November 2018, where each of the contributors presented their initial findings on Procedural Autonomy in their respective Member State. The outcomes were discussed at great length and, following the conclusion of the seminar, each of the authors involved in this volume continued to work on developing their presentation into the final book chapters submitted for publication in this richly analytical and comparative collection.
We are happy to have been able to work with Intersentia once more on this book, building on the strong working relationship established during previous collaboration on earlier titles in this field. The cooperation with Intersentia has been, as always, a pleasure.
As editors of this book and organisers of the abovementioned seminar, we look back on both the dynamic discussions enjoyed in Leiden and the production of Procedural Autonomy Across Europe fondly, both were thoroughly inspiring experiences.
Lastly, we are grateful for the valuable comments and suggestions that our peer reviewers provided, and to Leiden Law School for its financial contribution to this project.
