Summary
Ergebnis der bisherigen Untersuchung. Die punktuelle Aktion.
Das Ergebnis der bisherigen Untersuchung lässt sich kurz so zusammenfassen. Es gab im Indogermanischen charakterisierte Präsensbildungen mit bestimmter Aktion. Und zwai hatte die reduplizierende Klasse iterative Aktion, die io-Klasse kursive, die n-Klassen terminative, die sko-Klasse ebenfalls (vielleicht urspriinglich punktuelle). Die übrigen Präsensbildungen der nicht-abgeleiteten VeTba sind nicht charakterisiert. Wir haben bei dem aus der einsilbigen Wurzel gebildeten Prasens nicht-punktuelle, punktuelle und gemischte Aktion gefunden, ebenso bei den o-Bildungen der ersten Abtheilung (Typus bhävati), während die Bildungen der zweiten Abtheilung (Typus tuádti) terminativ, vielleicht urspriinglich punktuell sind. Endlich ist noch bei einigen abgeleiteten Verben auf eiō ziellos- iterative Aktion nachgewiesen worden. Es würde nun meine Aufgabe sein, zu zeigen, was aus diesen Aktionen in den Einzelsprachen geworden ist, jedoch bin ich dazu nui für das Germanische und Slavische vorbereitet.
Ehe ich mich indessen diesen Sprachen zuwende, habe ieh noch genauer, als bisher geschehen ist, zu erörtern, woran man die punktuelle Aktion erkennt. So viel ich sehe, giebt es für deren Vorhandensein drei äusserliche Kennzeichen, nämlich 1) der Indikativ des Präsens hat futuiischen Sinn, 2) das Augmenttempus hat aoristische Anwendung, 3) das Partizipium bezeichnet meist eine vergangene Nebenhandlung. Für das Germanische und Slavische kommt natürlich nur 1 und 3 in Betracht.
