The Use of Locational Analysis at Chisalin, Guatemala
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 20 January 2017
Abstract
A critique of the methods of locational analysis used by Carmack and Weeks (1981) at the Maya site of Chisalin, Guatemala is presented. The applicability of the “nearest neighbor” statistic to this densely occupied hilltop site is questioned, as is its use to discriminate architectural groups.
