1 The Republic of Vietnam was also party to this suit; however, the complaint was dismissed on the ground that an unrecognized government could not maintain an action in a United States court. On appeal, this decision was affirmed. Republic of Vietnam v. Pfizer, Inc., 556 F.2d 892 (8th Cir. 1977); 72 AJIL 152 (1978).

2 Section 4 provides: Any person who shall be injured in his business or property by reason of anything forbidden in the antitrust laws may sue therefore in any district court of the United States in the district in which the defendant resides or is found or has an agent, without respect to the amount in controversy, and shall recover threefold the damages by him sustained, and the cost of suit, including a reasonable attorney's fee.
