1. Initial project team members from RISD were Carol Terry, Director Emerita of Library Services, and Mark Pompelia, Visual Resources Librarian; Harvard GSD was represented by Library Associate Dean Ann Whiteside, Materials and Media Collections Librarian Johanna Kasubowski, and Landscape Architecture faculty Jane Hutton.
2. The chapter, “Conversation: Materials” was authored by former Industrial Design faculty member Kelly Hobson and featured an interview with Visual Resources Librarian Mark Pompelia. The conversation centred on the idea of making and materiality being central to the pedagogy at a making-centred institution such as Rhode Island School of Design and how the materials collection, still in its infancy, was nevertheless a perfect fit for a RISD education.
