6.3 Intensive milk production in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an island within the tropics between the northern latitudes 5°55′ and 9°50′ and the eastern longitudes 79°42′ and 80°51′. The island covers an area of 65 000 km2 (25 332 sq. miles). The human population of the island is estimated at 14.6 million.
