The identity of Lecanium krugeri Zehntner (Hemiptera: Coccidae) and its distribution on sugar-cane in southern Asia

Abstract
The identity of Lecanium krugeri Zhnt. is established, and the species is redescribed in a new genus Saccharolecanium. Originally known from Java, the species is now recorded from India and West Malaysia on sugar-cane.
