Abstract

Exaeretopus tritici sp. n. is described and illustrated from specimens collected in the Ninevah and Arbil Provinces of Iraq. In 1975, it was present in considerable numbers on the stems and inner surfaces of the leaves of wheat. Triticum aestivum, and the infestations reduced ear and grain size.
