The Solana-group of Empoasca Walsh (Homoptera, Cicadelloidea): its generic status and a new species from pawpaw

Abstract
Leafhoppers collected from dying pawpaw trees in Dominica are described as new under the name Solanasca dominica. This genus is created for the solana group of Empoasca Walsh which is characterised by the shape of the aedeagus; a key is given to the 26 species now known.
