Abstract

Podisus sagitta (Fab.) is a small- to medium-sized predatory stink bug, which is distributed from the southern United States into South America. The immature stages and both sexes of the adult insect from a laboratory strain are described and illustrated. Notes on the life history of P. sagitta also are given.

Résumé

Podisus sagitta (Fab.) est un hémiptère prédateur de petite à moyenne dimension, distribué du sud des Etats-Unis en Amérique de Sud. Les stades immatures et les deux sexes de l’insecte adulte d’une souche en laboratoire sont décrits et illustrés. Les auteurs présentent également des notes sur la biologie de P. sagitta.
