INSECTS OF THE NORTHERN PARTS OF BRITISH AMERICA

Published online by Cambridge University Press:  31 May 2012

Extract

[173] 229. Callidium simile Kirby.–Lenerh of body 7 lines. A single specimen taken with the preceding specics.

This species in most respects is so like C. M. proteus, that I had set it by as another variety; but upon further consideration I am induced to give it as a distinct, sincc it differs not only in colour but in the form and sculpture of the prothorax and other parts.
