The Male of Fannia shinahamae Chillcott (Diptera: Muscidae) and Its Proper Affinities in the Genus

Extract

Fannia shinahamae Chillcott was described from a single female (Chillcott 1961b) and assigned to the hirticeps group. Recent discovery of a topotypic series permits description of the male and reassignment of the species to the serena group (Chillcott 1961a).
