TAXONOMIC NOTES ON THE GENUS MONELLIOPSIS (HEMIPTERA: APHIDIDAE: CALAPHIDINAE) WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF THREE NEW SPECIES

Abstract

Monelliopsis bissellisp.nov., Monelliopsis pallidasp.nov., and Monelliopsis quadrimaculatasp.nov. are described and their relationship with other known species is discussed. The taxonomic position of the genus Monelliopsis Richards is assessed and a key for the identification of the species of this aphid genus is presented.

Résumé

Monelliopsis bissellisp.nov., Monelliopsis pallidasp.nov. et Monelliopsis quadrimaculatasp.nov. sont décrits et leur relation avec d’autres espèces connues est discutée. La position systématique du genre Monelliopsis Richards est évaluée et une clé pour l’identification des espèces de ce genre de pucerons est donnée.
