2 The enigmatical form prúfts, Capua, Rhcin. Mus. 43, p. 129 ff., no. 2, I leave out of account. Bücheler takes it as a graphical abbreviation of prúfattens. It certainly cannot stand for prúffens. It is not even certain that the form is plural.
