That Cattle-Plague (Rinderpest) is one of the most fatal and contagious maladies of cattle needs no further demonstration. The disease appears to be widely distributed in China, and is endemic in the hinterlands of Shanghai, Chinkiang, Hongkong, Pekin, Tientsin, and Chefoo.
