Summary

Essential features are described of a computer programme, written in F.A.S., for the evaluation of 1 : 1 and 4 : 1 confidence limits of expected ‘twenty-day’ totals of rainfall. The paper deals briefly with the availability and utility of the programme to agricultural research workers in Africa.
