Paper preprints are in decline in astronomy, while the use of electronic preprints is on the rise, mainly via the LANL astroph preprint archive. I discuss the decline of the paper preprint, some preprint servers available on the Web and some general electronic preprint issues, the astropharchive and its response to these issues, and alternatives for the future of electronic preprints.
