Scholars interested in European socialism and labor history have made frequent use of the rich collections in the International Institute for Social History in Amsterdam. The Institut Français d'Histoire Sociale, a comparable institution though on a more limited scale, has not been utilized to the same extent and deserves far more attention from researchers than it has received.
