General Assembly Resolution concerning the recognition of Guinea-Bissau appears at 13 I.L.M. 225 (1974). By Resolution 355 (1974) of August 12, 1974, the U.N. Security Council unanimously recommended the admission of Guinea-Bissau to United Nations membership. On September 17, 1974, the U.N. General Assembly voted to admit Guinea-Bissau to membership. Bangladesh and Grenada were also admitted, bringing U.N. membership to 138 states.]
