Le 1er juin 1933, le Comité international de la Croix-Rouge a installé ses bureaux, rue de Lausanne, à Sécheron, dans la villa de Gustave Moynier, son premier président.

Cette maison, dans laquelle est mort Gustave Moynier en 1910, appartenait à son beau-père M. Paccard. Une lithographie de Fontanesi, du milieu du XIXe siècle, reproduite ci-contre, représente la villa Paccard vue du côté du lac.
