Lithium toxicity, hypomania and leucocytosis with fluoxetine

Abstract

The first case in which lithium toxicity and leucocytosis with hypomania appear to have been induced by the selective serotonin reuptake blocking antidepressant, fluoxetine, is described. The possible pathophysiology of this interaction is discussed.
