High-Reynolds-number Batchelor-model asymptotics of a flow past an aerofoil with a vortex trapped in a cavity

Abstract

Steady incompressible flow past an aerofoil with a cavity in its upper surface is considered. The aerofoil and cavity shape is constructed to ensure that the high-Reynolds-number asymptotics of the flow is described by the Batchelor model.
