The genus and localization of finitely generated (torsion-free abelian)-by-finite groups

Abstract

In this paper we investigate the relationship between genus and localization of finitely generated (torsion-free abelian)-by-finite groups and genus and localization in integral representation theory. In particular when such a group has finite commutator subgroup we can determine the genus exactly.
