Precise Free-Hand Cutting with Diamond Scrapers

S.T. Japan has released two unique diamond knives for routine sectioning of hard and soft materials. The Diamond Scrapers have ultra-sharp blades made of natural diamond type IIa allowing you to easily perform clean cuts with minimum pressure and without tearing the sample. The risk of sample distortion is considerably reduced. Diamond Scrapers with flat blades are used to smooth surfaces. The tools have 45° angled blades for precisely cutting most biological and industrial materials.

Nine Structures Visualized in a Single Imaging Measurement

A recently published Nature Methods paper by Profs. Markus Sauer and Jörg Enderlein, in collaboration with PicoQuant GmbH, describes a novel strategy called spectrally resolved fluorescence lifetime imaging (sFLIM), allowing visualization of nine different target molecules in a single measurement. The method employs three excitation lasers with different wavelengths pulsing in an alternating pattern. Data acquisition and analysis was performed with the MicroTime 200 microscopy platform and SymPhoTime 64 software.
