Propylene Combustion on Lanthanum Perovskites
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 15 February 2011
Abstract
The catalytic activity of lantane perovskytes in the combustion of propylene was studied. The catalysts were LaFeO3, LaNiC3, LaCoO3, La2-xSrxNiO4 and La1-xSrxCoO3 where x is the amount of Sr substitution. Below 400°C the only products are CO2 and H2O, and above 400°C besides the total oxidation products, acroleine, acetaldehyde acetone and other partial oxidation products were obtained. The substitution of La by Sr improves the catalytic behaviour.
