1 He is mentioned twice by name in Hume's newly-discovered work A Letter from a Gentleman (1745). In editing this work, Mossner and Price have made the strange mistake of asserting (p. 38) that Cudworth is nowhere else mentioned in Hume's works, whereas, in fact, he is named twice in the Enquiries.
