Synopsis

The nature conservation interest and value of many sites in the Moray Firth are described in their international, national and local contexts. Many man-induced pressures on the natural environment are identified as well as the current mechanisms for nature conservation. The roles of local and national agencies are considered in relation to future strategies for nature conservation within the Moray Firth.
