page 256 note ‡ In England, Hilary Term ended on 12th or 13th of February, and Easter Term began on the Wednesday fortnight after Easter Day. In 1418 (Easter Day falling on March 27th) this would have been Wednesday, April 13th. Hence the Manx vacation appears to have been longer than the English.
