Afghanistan - a collection
After 20 years of war following the 9/11 attacks, the United States and its allies withdrew from Afghanistan. The withdrawal became an evacuation as the Taliban once again seized power. Scenes of the chaotic evacuation spread around the world, as many who worked with coalition forces were left behind. In light of the end of this era in Afghanistan, it’s worth reflecting on how the country has been treated in the international relations discipline.
In this collection, we have articles from each decade of our journal that reflect on Afghanistan.
Where not open access, the articles below are free to read until the end of September 2024.
