Michel Kuhn, delegado del Comité Intemacional de la Cruz Roja de 44 años de edad, ha resultado muerto el 28 de agosto de 1993 en un accidente de avión ocurrido en Jorog (sudeste de Tayikistán).

Michel Kuhn entró en 1982 en el CICR, a cuyo servicio realizó numerosas misiones humanitarias en Líbano, Siria, Irán, Namibia, Sudán, Afganistán y Alto Karabaj. Pocos días después iba a terminar su misión en Tayikistán y debía incorporate a su nuevo destino en Azerbaiyán.
