El señor F. Schmidt, delegado general del CICR para África, después de haber tomado parte en las recientes visitas efectuadas en África del Sur y Rhodesia a los lugares de detentión, se trasladó sucesivamente, en mayo y junio, a Tanzania, Benin, Togo y Angola.
En Tanzania, acompañado por el señor Bedert, delegado regional para África oriental, el señor Schmidt fue recibido por el presidente de la Sociedad national de la Cruz Roja, señor Sarakikya, y su vicepresidente, señor Rupia.
