1 I am less certain that these continuities exist with respect to the legal literature, with which I am less familiar. At least as characterized in this volume, legal theory is rooted in a quite distinctive, heavily normative, analytical structure that would be rather hard to relate tightly to the essentially positive literature in economics and political science.
