page 81 note 1 “Punta Proa” is the Argentine name given to the site of their post established during the 1949–50 season in Paradise Harbour, lat. 63° 53′ S., long. 62° 52′ W. The detachment is named after Admiral William Brown (1777–1857), an Argentine naval hero.

page 82 note 1 The Argentine post at Hope Bay, Trinity Peninsula, in north Graham Land, was established in December 1951, and is about 800 yards north-west of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey huts.
