Abstract

India's water industry is on the brink of remarkable growth, expected to reach an impressive $14 billion with an annual growth rate of 18%. The nation faces severe water scarcity due to rapid urbanisation, industrialization, climate change, and ineffective water management practices. This research paper presents a comprehensive exploration of India's current water industry, identifying the key factors contributing to water shortages and delving into potential solutions. The author employs a range of research methodologies, including surveys and literature reviews, to evaluate the feasibility, economic viability, and societal impact of AWG technology within the Indian context. The initial findings indicate a high public awareness about water scarcity and a significant willingness to adopt AWG solutions. The research identifies several challenges associated with AWG technology, such as high energy consumption, dependence on climate, and potential contamination risks.
