Review process

This journal uses a single-anonymised model of peer review. The author does not know the identity of the reviewers, but the reviewers know the identity of the author.

Peer review

All contributions to JIPA are subject to peer review, Associate Editor’s recommendation and the Editor’s final decision as to publication.

As JIPA operates under a single-anonymous peer review policy, reviewers remain anonymous, unless they wish to sign their reviews, but authors’ names are known to the reviewers.

Appeals

To appeal an editorial decision, please contact the Editor in Chief (at jipa.editorial@internationalphoneticassociation.org) and specify the reason for your appeal.

Your appeal will be reviewed by the Editor in Chief and/or an Editor who did not review the manuscript. The final decision regarding your appeal will rest with the JIPA Editor in Chief and Editorial Board.
