May it please your most Excellent Majesty.

I have receyved your Majestys Leters, and hold my self much bound to your Gracious favour for them. I thinke the kyndnes which I shewd to Dr Higges marveylous well placed, not onely for his owne worth, and his Attendance upon your Majesty, but for this alsoe that it hath made me happy in receyving soe great a Testimony of your Majestys respectes to me under your owne hand; For which I most humbly and hartily give your Majesty thankes. And shall be most ready to deserve your Highnes by all the Offices of a Servant.

I must second my thankes alsoe, that your Majesty was pleased soe nobly to accept the Booke which I sent, of the Bishop of Winchesters Sermons. It is since come forth againe. Not with more sermons but in a more corrected Prynt, and in better Paper. And the first opportunity I can have, I will make bold to send your Majesty one of them. It shall come with these, if I can gett it carryed.

And now Madame give me leave, I humbly beseech you, to let you knowe, that though I have made no overture to your Grace by Letters, as not holding it fitt for me to be bold; yet I have ever been in my poore waye, ready to doe your Majesty all true Services to the Kinge my Master: And this I take my selfe bounde to say for Truthes sake. I thinke noe Brother can be fuller of Kyndnes, and Care, then the Kinge my Maister is, for the Good of your self, and your Princely Chyldren. And an Eare witness I have often been of his Expressions. I hope you shall have Cause to joye in the end, for his wise and prudent, aswell as affectionate Care of your Majestys Good. Both my Prayers and best Endeavours shall be to serve the Kinge my most Gracious Master with faythfullness, as that I may in that Service be usefull to them, which are soe neare to him, as your Majesty and youres are. And with my Prayers for your health and happynes, I humbly take my leave.
