Summary

Music is a vast subject area with many varied levels and forms of study. Most children will experience some music learning during their time at school, with some progressing to study GCSE and A Level or the equivalent. Some children will learn to play an instrument either at school or from home. And most children and young people grow up listening to and developing their own music preferences.

The resources here reflect music learning at school and informal music learning at home. There are a host of resources from some fantastic organisations such as the Royal College of Music and the Royal Opera House. There is also information included on Instruments; Composers; Music Teachers; and Types of Music. In addition, have a look at www.music-education.co.uk which has a vast array of music resources for primary and home schooling.
