Summary
A 50-year-old male is 24 hours status post transsphenoidal resection of a pituitary tumor. He is producing less than 50 mL/h of urine for several hours and is complaining of thirst. What is the likely etiology of this process and what laboratory values are expected? How should this patient be managed if he returns to the operating room emergently?
