Summary

Typical questions

  • • Where can I get recent articles on life-cycle assessment?

  • • I want to get information on semiconductor devices.

Starting points

  • • The term engineering covers a wide range of different subject areas, including chemical, civil and electrical engineering. Those interested in chemical engineering may also benefit from consulting the Science chapter; electrical engineers the Computer Science chapter. Other relevant chapters include Mathematics, Standards and Legislation.

  • • The complexity of the subject area means that this chapter can only offer a brief introduction. Users should explore the key organisations’ resources to find more detailed guides to specific sub-fields of engineering.
