Regarding CIPM, XXV, 454, an inquisition held in 1441. Inquire as to his estate in ⅓ manor of Artington.

Yazor, ½ manor, annual value 40s., held of Walter Devereux, knight, of his castle or honour of Weobley, by knight service, viz. by homage, fealty, and scutage. He died on 10 July last. Maud is his daughter and next heir, aged 2 and more.

27 June 1443. [Haukeston].

Jurors: William Cheyne, esquire; Edward Leghton of Marsh, esquire; John Munede; John Pyard; Roland Jay; Walter Walcote; John Eyton; John Pygeon; John de Acton; John Tuppa; Roger Jones; and David ap John.

He held the following in demesne as of fee.

More, ½ manor, annual value 20s., held of the king in chief as 1/15 knight’s fee.

Colebatch, a moiety of a toft and of a nook of land, annual value 8d., held of the bishop of Hereford by 4d. yearly.

He died on 15 January last. Walter Dudston is his son and next heir, aged 32 and more.
