Summary

Extent made Monday before St Thomas the Apostle, 39 Henry VI [17 December 1459], by William Payoun, William Treghar and Simon Kentrevek.

Free tenants

Redalan, Huthnans, Karioghall, Treneer, Ruddour and Tilligowe [Redallan, Huthnance, Crawle, Trenear, Ruthdower, and Treliggo, all in Breage]:

The heir of Warin Lercedekne, Redalan, Huthnans, Karioghall, Ruddor, Treneer and Tilligowe, as ½ knight's fee; by homage, fealty and scutage, for all service.

Treueglos, Treuemder, Tregenryth [Treveglos, Tremeader, Tregerthen [?] and ‘Carlibby’ (lost), all in Zennor]:

The heir of Richard Sergeaux knight, 1 acre Cornish in Treueglos, 3 acres Cornish in Treuemeder, 1 acre in Tregenryth, and 1 ferling in Carleb, by knight's service; by homage and fealty.

Tregedyll [Tregiddle, in Cury]:

John Petyt Predannek, 1 acre Cornish, in socage, by homage and fealty, with suit of court every three weeks; yearly rent, at [All Saints?] and Sts Philip and James, Apostles, 12d.

Gurlyn and Treuelyhan [Gurlyn and Trelean, both in St Erth]: The heir of Ralph Soer holds 2 parts of Gurlyn and ½ of Trevelyhan, which were sometime given in free marriage with one Margery daughter of Carmynov.

Grous [Angrouse, in Mullion]:

The heir of Reginald Godrevy, 3 acres at Grous, by homage and fealty, with suit of court every 3 weeks; yearly rent, at the four principal dates in the manor, 5s.

Rosmodro [Rosemorder, in Manaccan]:

Ralph Reskymer, ½ [acre] Cornish in Rosmodro, by homage and fealty; yearly rent, at the four chief dates, for all service, 20s.

Polgrun [Polgrean, in Cury]:

James Nanfan, 1 [acre] Cornish at Polgr...en, in socage, by homage and fealty, with suit of court every 3 weeks; yearly rent, at the four principal dates, 20s.

Helstonburgh [Helston town]:

The heir of Pascoe Cotha, . . . plots (placeas) . . . and . . .; yearly rent, at the four principal dates, 6s.

Conventionary tenants

Lammargh [Lamartb, in Mawgan in Meneage]:

Thomas Wille, 1 acre Cornish, that is the whole vill, at the lord's [will]; yearly rent, at the four chief dates usual in the manor, namely St Andrew, mid-Lent, St James the Apostle and Michaelmas, with all other services as all conventionary tenants do, a better beast (melius averium) when it arises [as heriot], suit of mill, and other customs as the custom anciently is; 11s.
