Summary
First thing the next morning, I met Michael at his hotel to debrief about the previous day’s interviews and decide on our next topic. Özge had made a strong impression on Michael. She really gave it to the AK Party with both barrels, he commented, and I told him that she did not used to be so political, or for that matter to foreground her Alevi identity.
