Summary
The following pages contain a few notes on the history of Bookbinding, with some remarks on the practice of the art at various periods. Although much has been done in illustration of celebrated specimens of Bindings, much still remains to be done. The great want, as was pointed out by Mr. Bradshaw in the discussion, is a thorough chronological treatment of the subject, founded on the examples of all ages.
